Frequently Asked Questions - FAQ
What is the difference between Traditional Thai massage and "regular" massage?
Traditional Thai massage differs from “regular” massage in a number of ways. Thai massage is practiced on a mat on the floor rather than on a table. In this way, the massage therapist can use their whole body to move the client. The therapist might use hands, feet, knees or elbows, depending on which is appropriate for the job. Another difference is that the client is fully clothed and oil is rarely used. Thai massage also employs a lot of stretching and movement, much more than a typical “regular” massage. This is the reason that Thai massage is sometimes called the “lazy persons yoga”.
